PSE7-Week 9

In this lesson we learned about the gradient tool and layer blend modes. For our homework we were to make an image using gradients and/or gradient text.

I used the cookie cutter tool and chose a snail and butterfly and filled them with a gradient. Shapes like these make cute additions to a scrapbook page.

And last but not least we were to make an image using grunge text. Not exactly one of my favorites. I look at this and want to go and take a shower!

In this lesson we learned about Raster vs. Vector - What's the Difference? We learned about the Type Tool and Fonts.
Our homework was to make an image using type as an element. The font I used was "JazzTextExtended". I took the Idaho pictures two years ago.

PSE7 - Week 7

In lesson 7 we learned about layers and how to work with them. For our homework we were to
1. make an image with three layers, and to post the image plus a screenshot of the layers palette.
2. Post an image we used a fill layer on, plus a screenshot of the layers palette.

Garden Bench

I used the selection brush to separate Kimberly from the bench. In order to paste her onto the garden bench, I had to flip her horizontally.

After pasting her onto the garden bench, I use the eraser to bring back the flowers from the garden bench picture, which were covered up by Kimberly.

This is a picture of Adam and Kayla. I used the selection brush to separate them from the background. I then turned the original picture into a b/w picture, and then cloned the original Adam and Kayla on top. I have a feeling that this is not exactly the answer to assignment 2. But it kinda has the same effect.
