PSE7 - Week 4

In Lesson 4 we learned about selections and the associated tools, and how to create a composite.

This is a composite of pictures I took of my younger grandchildren at a family reunion a few years ago. It was kinda time consuming - I used 17 layers.

PSE7 - Week2

In this lesson we studied "Navigating an Image"; Use of "Project Bin"; "Palettes and Palette Bin; using "Autosmart Fix; and "Setting Program Preferences".

Our homework assignment: Post flower photo and alter it using the "Effects" palette; Use one or more of our own photos and improve it with the automatic correction tool.

Original Flower Photo

Using "High Pass" and adding recessed frame

Using the "Mosaic" Effect
(Just in case I might want to make a counted cross-stitch picture)

Here is granddaughter Kayla with bright red eyes

So what went wrong when I tried to use the automatic red eye remover. Kayla now has one red and one blue eye, and I haven't a clue how to fix that. I also used the brightness corrector.

PSE7 - Week 1

I have enrolled in a Basic Photoshop Elements (PSE7) Class through EclecticAcademy http://www.eclecticacademy.com/ - teacher Sara Froelich.

Assignments for week 1 were to post before and after pictures which were altered using Guided Edit only.

This is a Line Drawing of the Statue of Liberty (picture taken Oct 2008)

New York Skyline as seen from Liberty Park

For the skyline I used the Guided Edit for pencil sketch - then adjusted brightness

For the houseplant I used the Adjust Levels feature in the Guided Edit.
